This was the 6th time that we have put on our exhibition at the Bassingbourn Village College [BVC], and by now everyone more or less knows their place in the general scheme of things as far as setting up and getting the place ready for the participants (Although getting up at 6:45 on a Saturday was almost a step too far!). Our Exhibition manager, Reg, should be congratulated for his sterling work in drawing up instructions for who goes where and how much space to give them. On the day the setup went pretty much flawlessly; signs put up both inside and out, kitchen staff in place [Bacon stacked ready to cook] electric extension leads strategically placed. Car park guides to direct the exhibitors and traders to the relevant entrances.
Some would-be visitors were outside at 9:45, and as is our norm, the “Historic Bus” shuttle between Royston Bus & Train Stations and the exhibition arrived on time.
The Royston Model Engineering Society brought along a locomotive, to run on their outdoor track and rolling stock to give rides.
We have uploaded the first of our pictures of the day HERE.
