We are a fairly small club, with about 25 members, and (under normal circumstances) we meet every Friday at the Town House in Barley, a small village South-East of Royston in Hertfordshire. The address for the town House is :- Church End, Barley SG8 8JW , and we usually meet from 8.00 to 10.30 p.m. Please click on the above link to bring up a Google Map.
The club and members are involved in the building of model railway layouts in all the major scales for their own enjoyment and have exhibited their layouts at Model Railway Exhibitions all over the South East and East Anglia over the last fifteen years or so.
We try to be friendly and welcoming to visitors (nice hot cups of tea on offer), but at the moment, we would appreciate it if you would contact the committee via our e-mail address for the up-to-date information concerning the current requirements for visitors.
Looking to contact the Royston and District Model Engineering Society instead? (They can provide small steam outline locomotives and give rides at fetes and exhibitions on their portable outdoor track). Please also use the above contact address, but mark your message for the attention of the model engineering soc and we will pass it on.
